How To Prepare Your Property For A Siding Replacement:
Remove Any Materials Blocking Your Homes Exterior:
Siding installations cover your entire home. If you have anything blocking your home, leaning up against it, hanging, etc., it is best to remove it and place it in another location. We recommend removing any exterior holiday decor and moving patio furniture away from your home. Doing so allows your crew the opportunity to get started immediately upon arrival!
Make Alternative Arrangements:Â
Unfortunately, one of the few downsides to exterior home renovation and siding installation is the potential for loud noises. If you work from home or have a small child or infant, the loud noises could potentially be bothersome. It is best to make different arrangements for your work-from-home set-up or be prepared to do so if necessary.
Prepare The Interior Of Your Home:
Siding installations may cause the walls of your home to shake slightly. To combat and prevent any issues from arising, we recommend that you remove any fragile items from your walls, including art and picture frames. Doing so will negate the possibility of damage or breakage to your possessions.Â

In addition to your exterior preparation, clearing one of your home’s exterior outlets ahead of time can further prepare your home for installation. Your contractor will more than likely need to use an outlet, so clearing the area beforehand is a great way to prep!
Trim Trees & Bushes
Your siding contractor will need a decent amount of space around the perimeter of your property, as they need access to remove the current siding and install the new one. If you have any trees or shrubs close to your home, it is best to trim them back to create a path for your siding crew. If you have flowers or other garden items, consider covering them to keep debris away.
